Transporting trans from Zanjan to Yerevan-58 tons-1

Special Transport Project – Power Transformer

From Zanjan, Iran to Yerevan, Armenia

📍 Origin: Zanjan – Electrical Equipment Factory
📍 Destination: Yerevan – Power Generation Facility
📅 Execution Date: Summer 2024
⚙️ Cargo Type: 58-ton Power Transformer
🚚 Fleet Used: Multi-axle Lowboy Trailer with Steering Axles

Project Overview:

This project involved the international ground transport of a 58-ton power transformer from Zanjan to a power plant in Yerevan. Due to the sensitive nature, heavy weight, and critical dimensions of the cargo, the operation required precise technical planning, special equipment, and strict adherence to safety regulations.

The route passed through the Iran–Armenia corridor via the Nordooz border. A specialized trailer with steering axles and weight distribution systems was used to ensure safe transit through mountainous terrain and critical infrastructure.

Key Actions:

  • Engineering assessment of the transformer’s dimensions and weight before loading

  • Use of a multi-axle modular trailer with steerable axles for maneuvering in mountain passes

  • Special insulation and protective packaging for sensitive transformer components

  • Acquisition of heavy-load transit permits from Iranian and Armenian authorities

  • Detailed planning for bridge clearances, curves, and road width restrictions

  • Escort by technical and traffic control teams throughout the route

  • Safe unloading at the Yerevan power plant using heavy-duty cranes

Project Outcome:
The transformer was successfully delivered on schedule and without damage. The operation met all international standards for electrical equipment logistics and achieved full client satisfaction. This mission further demonstrated the company’s ability to execute high-precision, heavy cargo transport to regional destinations.
