Port to Baku

International Oversized Transport Project

Transport of a 33-meter Industrial Structure
From Bandar Abbas, Iran to Baku, Azerbaijan

📍 Origin: Bandar Abbas – Port Terminal
📍 Destination: Baku – Industrial Zone
📅 Execution Date: Autumn 2024
📏 Cargo Type: Industrial Module – Length: 33 meters
🚚 Fleet Used: Modular Hydraulic Trailer (Self-Steering Multi-Axle Bogie)

Project Overview:

Our company was entrusted with the transport of an extremely long industrial structure measuring 33 meters from Bandar Abbas to Baku. Due to its non-standard length and route complexity—including urban crossings, bridges, and mountainous paths—the project required advanced engineering analysis, specialized equipment, and multi-country transit permits.

Given the cargo’s extreme length, we deployed modular hydraulic trailers (bogies) equipped with independently steerable axles, allowing safe maneuvering through tight turns and urban environments. Portions of the journey were executed during nighttime hours to ensure safety and reduce traffic impact.

Key Actions:

  • Engineering route analysis considering turning radius and bridge clearance limitations

  • Deployment of multi-axle bogie trailers with hydraulic steering and smart load distribution

  • Acquisition of nighttime transit permits and international road escort clearance from Iran and Azerbaijan

  • Coordination with road police and technical teams for safe passage through critical route segments

  • Specialized crane loading at the port and secure stabilization on trailer

  • Real-time GPS tracking and regular updates to the client throughout the journey

  • Precise and damage-free unloading at the Baku industrial site

Project Outcome:
Despite the oversized dimensions and route challenges, the cargo was delivered on schedule and without any damage. Full client satisfaction was achieved, reinforcing our company’s technical expertise and capability in handling long-length modular transport operations across borders.
